What method would you use for ground like this?


I want to create ground inside castle walls something like this:

I was simply going to model the slopes and curves in Maya because it seems like too small an area for the landscape tool and I may want to create a playable area outside the walls. Would you just use Maya as well? Any tips in particular?

My personal tip is, all roads lead to Rome. Unless it’s very time-critical, how you do it probably doesn’t matter as much as long as it works.

I would probably use a combination of both models and landscape. The ‘base’ road could be landscape, and the sloped and wall areas would be models. You would just need to blend everything in nicely. This would be personal workflow for recreating that pictured area.
