Hello,
When I purchased Horror Engine on Epic Games Marketplace, there was only one license available, which allowed the engine to be used for both commercial and non-commercial projects. From what I recall, people on forums mentioned that there were no restrictions on earning money with games made using this engine.
Now that Horror Engine has been moved to the new FAB.com platform, I’m unsure how the license changes. As I understand, FAB.com offers two types of licenses:
- Standard License, which allows engine usage without fees but with limitations for commercial projects.
- Commercial License, which allows full use of the engine in commercial projects without restrictions.
Does my license from Epic Games Marketplace automatically carry over to the new FAB platform, or do I need to switch to one of these licenses? If so, which license is appropriate considering that I plan to commercially sell my game?
Additionally, I’ve noticed that Horror Engine is also available on Steam. If I intend to use this engine in my game on Steam, does my Epic Games Marketplace license still cover distribution on that platform? Do I need to purchase a new license to publish my game on Steam?
I would greatly appreciate any help and clarifications on this matter!
PS: I’m not very good at writing in English.
