When you go to the ‘On Sale’ section of the Marketplace
Are the items listed by:
MOST RECENT TO GO ON SALE
or
DATE ADDED TO THE MARKETPLACE
It’s hard for me to tell. Obviously the prior order would be the one that would make sense to consumers. And the latter would require consumers browse through the whole listing just to find recent sales - it would be inefficient.
I just can’t tell by eyeballing it. Does anyone know?
It defaults to date added to the marketplace, but there is a drop-down where you can sort them by price etc.
Thank you. I missed that drop-down before.
It is sad that it doesn’t seem to have the option to view the assets most recently put on sale. For consumers like me it would be the most efficient order.
Each day we could quickly see what items were added for sale that day in case we want to make impulse buys or in case we were waiting on something to go on sale we could spot it on that first Marketplace page.
If the Marketplace weren’t so bizarrely limited to 50 wishlist items, then that would create efficiency as well. Like, people could just pay attention to new assets and mark those that they’re interested in and track them.
The Marketplaces UI is really limiting my impulse and regular purchasing by making it inconvenient to track a helpful number of items on my wishlist. And there’s not an efficient way to see what went on sale most recently. Any older assets that go on sale are much more likely to be missed by consumers.
People can search in the sales section, but the tag “environment” gives me different results than the tag “environements.” That system makes me think I’m probably missing stuff when I search. Searches are good for people looking for something in particular, but I’m just as likely to buy “random” stuff I may be able to use later for projects that haven’t been conceived yet, and I don’t want to have to frequently browse the entire On Sale section, re-treading ground.
At this point, it’s kinda silly that mankind has invented the iphone, has launched people into space to live there on a space station…yet the UE Marketplace can’t have a wishlist bigger than 50 items.
That’s a good idea re the “most recent put on sale” filter!
I wish it was curbing my impulse buying
