What is the fastest, easiest and most simple process to make a micro game?

I am putting Unreal on hold to pursuit something else, but first, I want to accomplish something and get a decent closure.
Asset flipping is guaranteed.

This is strictly for myself and not likely to be uploaded anywhere. Hence, performance, optimisation, graphics settings and such will be ignored.

If you know of any decent free templates on the Marketplace, please let me know.

Hi there,

If you want a ready-to-ship micro game template, I recommend this one:
Action RPG in UE Legacy Samples - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)
All you have to do is change the characters and create your custom levels. Creating custom abilities requires intermediate-advanced skills. It is ready for packaging and optimized for mobile, yet you can pack for windows or any other platform if you have the proper license and SDK.

A basic single player race game:
Vehicle Game in UE Legacy Samples - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

Platformer Game in UE Legacy Samples - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

Strategy Game in UE Legacy Samples - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

Hex Blocks Game - Code vs Blueprints in Code Plugins - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

Also, there are shooter templates that require intermediate-advanced knowledge:

Lyra Starter Game in UE Game Samples - UE Marketplace (unrealengine.com)

Thank you for putting in all this effort!

Your reply is of a rather high standard. Simple, well organized, clear and flooded with great links.
If you don’t do that already, and are interested, you might want to consider applying for some communications job at EPIC.
Actually, they might want to consider offering you a position. Your digital communications skills are both rare and very professional.

Hex blocks game makes most sense for what I have in mind. Could be interesting to modify it a lot, but keep the game play and systems as is.

Wish you a great day over there!

Hi there,

Thank you for your comment and appreciation, and I am really glad I could help you somehow with a few insights. And about the future, well, we’ll never know. I’ll keep a tab on it, for sure. Thank you again.

Have a great day.

mini game you say, a 2D side scrolling game the game mechanics and the amount of programming required is practically 0…arcade no items no inventory all static pers button run BP jamp pers button run BP shot up down left right pers button run BP trow granate
you can assemble a 2D side scrolling from 3D assets you have from the marketplace since the camera is fixed on one side you can go very heavy with the effects and poligons
