What is the best way to implement climbing like Dark Souls style or Demon's souls

Do I have to animate the 2 different states? climb up left? climb up right? and throw in a delay in between each movement so the root capsule doesn’t move until you’re all the way up? Another thing I’m very confused about is…how to implement getting off the ladder? Matinee? Any ideas?

Dont know but I will suguest to look on animation montage… or in any case, just add a state machine that has 2 separate states… and yeah some matinee can be good to I guess.

Yep do a bit of a look at anim montage and anim blueprints, lots of good stuff in the demo content for all the character animations
