What is my Editor trying to do?

I left my UE4 Editor up for a while and I found it had some new lines in the Output window:

PS: I wasnā€™t quite sure where to put this post but I think itā€™s most innocuous in this section.

I had same, i think its trying to send some info to epic but epic servers are down, big brother watching you :wink:

I think by chance it is similar to Google Analytics which track down which features are used most, in what way etcā€¦If it is that case, then there is nothing to worryā€¦

I didnā€™t notice this until I updated to 4.13.2 and using the build from source.

Its sad, because next to it, it eats 30% cpu when idle, minimized.

I left my computer on for a day. Getting these messages again. I went to open the editor and suddenly the Engine needed to be rebuilt. I am getting these attempts every 60 seconds.

Any answer to this one yet? Itā€™s still happening and the silence is deafening. #TrustBuilding.

this seems to be working for me
disable your windows firewall and disable your anti-virus, so the unreal Engine can connect/build monitor unreal Engine XGE

Hi I am facing an error while packaging my game for android.
From past 1 month, I am unable to find the solution

Iā€™m getting the same packaging error, I work offline on my projects. I like my privacy and Iā€™m getting CURLE_COULDNT_RESOLVE_HOST (6)

i donā€™t know if itā€™s because Iā€™m a middle eastern person or what but Iā€™m tired of being monitored just let me do my dam work !!

@ThirdEyeAgent Itā€™s nothing to do with your personal country of origin - Iā€™m white. British and in England - same,same. Looks to me like its version checking, seeing which versions are still under active use I guess - and how role outs are filtering through. If it fails, ignore it - seems to fail under Windows at least because there is no firewall rule for it, so it gets bounced.
By the way I am talking about the ā€œLogHttp: Warning: 0000012A8C31F900: request failed, libcurl error: 0 (No error)ā€ error in Output Log, not the game packaging error - ā€œLogHttp: Warning: 000002195FAD5BC0: request failed, libcurl error: 6 (Couldnā€™t resolve host name)ā€, which I think needs to be raised separately as a log. I would suggest its the same issue, Firewall, but needs a rule set specifically for it, rather than switching off the Firewall!
