I’m using the Set Focus function in one of my behavior tree tasks in order to get my AI character to adjust its aim pitch appropriately, using a blend space. It’s working perfectly except for the fact that the weapon is always pointed at the target mesh’s crotch. I tried using the Set Focal Point function instead and then pointing it to a specific socket, but it appears Set Focal Point is broken, as the AI character always just aims at the same (default) height. Another user noted the exactly same issue a few months back. So… what EXACTLY is Set Focus ‘aiming’ towards? The mid-point of the mesh?
It would be aiming at the origin of the mesh.
I’m having a similar issue
When setting a focal point, AI’s control rotation seem to only update YAW.
Pitch is always zeroed.
This is very frustrating.
