What does physics constraint actor do?

Sorry but I’m brand new to this. What is the purpose of the physics constraint actor?

Reading up online and looking at YouTube videos, I seem to understand is that it just anchors one object to another so that physics is simulated accordingly?

Am I right or is there more to it?

You’re right; It’s designed to work with things that swing or use physical forces to bend or slide.

Today, I’m using it to create a joint between the sections spider legs - and then animate them with physical forces so the spider will physically move around.
