What do you like most about using Unreal?

Over the past two years, I have probably made and deleted 500 “game” projects.
All these projects have one thing in common: Find out how to make something and then make it better and better until it cannot get better. Then delete it and make a new one.

The excitement is all about how to turn 100 nodes into events, macros and functions and then admire the Event Graph with 100 nodes having become less than five.

What is it about Unreal that has you come back and back to it?

Hey @anon18065303 !

Hope you’re doing well.

One of my favorite aspects with Unreal is just the diversity of things people can create. Game development has always been such a brilliant concept to me and watching people literally create their dreams is such an enjoyable experience to be able to monitor.
I have a passion and great devotion to encouraging people to chase their dreams and, thanks to Unreal, I get to do that. :heartpulse:

As to what you said, the technical challenges and potential for skill growth with UE has effected me in a similar way. Gaining a skill like a programming language has become increasingly attractive to me and has really changed my plans for my future.

PS: Thanks so much for making this post and helping to make the community a more welcoming place. You’re so much appreciated!

I like that it empowers me to do most of the work on my own with little compromise, and generally everything just works.
