For me personal GEMA sucks! I really have some personal negative feelings about all that āprotectiveā behavior, that in the end only limits art, in any way.
Pushing and promoting here in Germany, only included titles and when you hear radio, you could think that the radiostations here have only 100 titles maximum on their playlist.

Some titles are played more once an hour (up to three times and perhaps two shortys 10 sec. preview adv.).
And all those cool creative musicans which are not in the club, are never heard (i think more about unknown artists, not big ones).
Ten years ago that stuff made me very angry, but impossible to change anything, when the ālightforceā is melted down by ignorance and commerceā¦
