I have a floating asset window like this:
I can’t seem to dock it anywhere except at the top of the main window. Is this expected? Running in OSX under multi-mon environment.

Yes - that is the expected behavior. There are only a few special tabs that we allow to be docked anywhere - like the Content Browser.
