Weird texture handling

When I import a scene, materials seem to be fine, but if I reimport the scene because I notice something I want to modify some textures go crazy. An example would be a floor texture. The texture has the same size as the floor. Both are a rectangle it should be very simple. But, for some reason when I reload the model Twinmotion turns the texture map into a tiled texture and it's extremely difficult to adjust because of the limits of the stretching bars and because if there's several models with the same floor the move in unison when trying to adjust the offset (so one texture can be lined up and all the others can't because they move at the same time).

Trying to change from UV map to cube doesn't affect the texture at all.

Hello ,

What version of Twinmotion are you using when you notice this and how are you importing and re-importing your model (using Datasmith Direct Link, uploading a file, etc.).Additionally, does this also occur when using the Max UV precision option on import? If you can provide screenshots or share your files that would also be very helpful so I can understand exactly what might be happening.

Hello and thank you for your answer.

  • I'm using the 2022.2 version.
  • I go to the import section, I click the "+" sign and I import the c4d file. Up until that it's all good. Then I notice an error that I fix back in C4D and then I click the reimport option in the import section (the two arrows in a circle icon over the imported item).
  • I do use Max UV precission option, using "collapse by material" also.

I managed to fix it by just starting over in a new project with the corrected geometry. The first time I import something doesn't generally fail, it's when I re-import it, apparently. If I run into it again I'll take a screenshot this time.

Best regards.
