Weird ring of glitch around the viewport on water material

Using a custom water material and trying to troubleshoot an issue I have but I can’t find any explanation for it, nor a solution. Been searching for hours now.

At a certain distance from the camera, the water material goes completely crazy. It’s like a ring around the camera where everything stops functioning as they should and further away everything is just fine. This happens both, in editor and in game.

Here I have modified the level to better show the weird effect.
Does anybody know what could cause this?

The issue was fixed by playing around with the LODScale and Tessellation Factor in the Water Zone.
