Weird problems building to iOS/iPadOS

Hi–I’m trying to come to grips with processing touch input using blueprints, and as such am building projects to two iPads for practice. The project is a simple scene with a camera orbit blueprint only using X-axis data from the screen to spin the camera on a springarm.

The scene is a blueprint with the camera on a springarm, and in the level is a simple cube and a directional light set to static. Because that leaves one side of the cube black, I added another static directional light in blue to fill that side.

I’m testing on an iPad Pro that’s a year old and an iPad Air 2 that’s eight years old. While the project exports to both with no problems, they both have problems that seem inexplicable to me. On the iPad Air 2, the project simply doesn’t open, stopping at the Unreal splash screen. This despite the target hardware being Mobile/Scalable. The device will run B.O.T. and Ark, albeit jankily, so I know if must be a setting I’m missing.

On the iPad Pro, it runs, but only one of the directional lights is visible. The other simply does not show up. If I replace the directional light with a Rect light, still nothing. Delete the original directional light, leaving only the Rect light, complete darkness, even though the Rect light is very bright in the viewport.

Any insight much appreciated.
