I am using Unreal 5.5.1.
I created a tree with 3 LODs (all fbx files) which I imported manually for each LOD level - I was having issues using the LOD grouping from Maya to Unreal. The pivot points are also all correct and in the right place for each mesh.
In the viewport when I look at the static mesh and its LODs they all look great. The transition between the LOD levels is pretty smooth and there are no issues…
When I put the tree in the game map though, the whole asset moves up vertically (on the Z) when you go from LOD1 to LOD2 and then moves back down when you zoom back in. It doesn’t move much but it’s noticeable and the weird thing it that it doesn’t do it in the viewport for the SM and also doesn’t do it in Maya.
Has anyone had this issue before? Or suggest why I might be seeing it?
