I’m getting these strange artifacts (lines) on my texture when using World Position (they go away if I turn World Pos off and just use local tex coordinates). Tried different megascan materials but getting the same issue.
I’m using the code from Matthew Wadstein’s “WTF” on World Position. I’m dividing my output by 300 but larger or smaller numbers still give similar results (the gridlines get bigger or smaller).
I’m using Virtual Textures.
I think it’s to do with the scaling, but not quite sure how to resolve. Has anyone come across this before or got any ideas on how to fix?
(NOTE - In the picture the camera is about 2 meters off the floor, this is not a zoomed out from high in the sky).
