weird issue with geometry import

this works in version 4.27, but it seems to simplify my geometry in version 5.5.4. i’ve attached pictures of the window. one in unreal and one in maya. the fbx is fine when i export it, but once i see it in 5.5.4 it removes verts. anyone know how to fix this? i’m quite at a loss, and i’ve used unreal since 2005 which is what’s really frustrating!!

From your provided screenshots, it looks like the geometry needs a few more supporting loops around the orifice, to ensure the engine doesn’t simplify or optimize it.

Also, please check if your mesh is either Nanite enabled, or if it has LODs implemented, as even a low impact LOD will cut geo from that section.
