Weird deformed skeletal mesh/My character becomes a dwarf

I loaded this paragon skeletal mesh into my project, but when I try to set the new skeletal mesh for the base third person character blueprint they get squished. Unfortunately my game is not set in Lotr.
Edit When I change the anim class to something else like “AnimInstance” the mesh fixes. But then what is wrong with the “ABP_Manny” class that I want to use?

So I tried UE5.03 and it fixed the problem. Bam I’m a genius there’s no need to thank me :laughing:

Same issue and no one online has an answer?
