hi i am new to ue4 . for some unknown reasons i am having a weird black plane above my level
error shows that i need to rebuild lighting . i have rebuild it plenty of time but it doesn’t helps.
Hi Rahulkirito,
I’ll need a bit more information about your scene first since this isn’t really enough to go off of at the moment.
- Do you get the same issue in a new blank scene?
- The unbuilt objects is 637 objects, so this is likely something other than just the sky sphere being black. Can you run the Console Command “DumpUnbuiltLightInteractions” and then in the Output Window (Window > Developer tools > Output Window) copy the listed objects there to a text file and attach here.
- What type of lighting are you using in the scene (Movable, Stationary, Static)? Is this just a directional light or other spot and point lights too?
- Is this happening in the viewport window for the editor or only when you launch in another window like you have shown in your image?
- Is this using the same default SkySphere that is from the Default scene in UE4?
Thank you!
Tim
Hi Tim
Well I am not having this issue in blank screen and I am currently using only two lighting ( directional light along with skylight ) . It happens in both view port as well as in separate window . I am using a default sky sphere. The problem started when i made a new level using a plane to reflect sky ( trying to imitate Salar de Uyuni in bolivia)
sorry for late reply .
Thank you!
