My team and I at Wonder Interactive develop tools and a platform for deploying and hosting UE5 projects client-side to the browser. Previously, the only way to distribute UE5 projects to the browser was through pixel streaming, which connventionally has beeb cost prohibitive and introduces input latency. Our approach leverages the new WebGPU API which has recently become widely available in browsers. We’ve custom built from scratch a WebGPU RHI for UE5, along with tools for streaming in assets on-demand for minimizing load times.
