Weapon not showing up on character in game

Hi all,

I’m working with the Infinity Blade weapons asset pack and I’ve been following tutorials to learn how to attach weapons to characters as I’m a beginner. The tutorials both told me to put the Static Mesh of the weapon as a child of the Mesh and then to attach it to a socket, which makes it show up in the view port. Unfortunately these weapons don’t seem to have any static meshes, so I tried with the skeleton mesh, and the weapon did appear in the view port.

However, after compiling/saving, the weapons is not showing up in the game.

Is this because it’s a skeletal mesh, or have I done something wrong?
