Weapon mesh not facing the right way after replaced with default gun

I delete the original weapon mesh and replace refferences with the new weapon mesh. but then the weapon’s placement is inside of characters head instead of in the hand. How to fix please?

I think you’ll find the pivot point of the new mesh is not in the same place as the old one. You have to change that.

Your mesh has a “false” rotation. make shure the gun direction show in the same axies as the other one. load both in an 3d tool and rotate ur gun like the other one and export only your gun as an fbx. it should be easy
