Weapon attached to the model

Hello! Sorry to bother you all today but I have been searching the internet for days now and I can’t find a tutorial which specifically outlines this, I’m not 100% sure if this is even the right subsection to post this under and if not I’ll move it over to the correct one!

So i have a model and have attached guns to the skeleton and animated him shooting (think tentacles on vel’koz if unclear(league of legends reference)) and I’m at a loss here. Will I have to remove the guns from him and then add them separately or can I keep them on the character and do something in the blueprints?
I later plan on adding something a lot similar to Vel’koz in that his tentacles are his weapons so how would I go about accomplishing that?

If anyone can help me I’d be amazing and I’ll be eternally greatful! Thanks guys!

If you spawn the weapon as an actor, you can freely attach and detach it to a socket. Given that even a static mesh is an actor, I assume this also works with just a model weapon.
