We should be able to instance off materials that are on props or objects in the content browser

For example with the water body system in UEFN, currently there is no way to change the color of the water because we cannot instance off the water body material. We also cannot create our own because all of the “water” functions in the epic folder dont validate due to a texture.

We need this to be able to push immersion further, for example playing a horror map and then the water is just this cyan that cannot be changed is super immersion breaking.

Another example this is useful is the entire apollo foliage gallery is completely desaturated and broken since ch4, if people would be able to instance off these materials they would be able to change the color themselves, this also can help people re purpose content browser assets and change the color of them to match the themes of their environment, making our projects thinner.

Along with that letting us instance off these would be in the best interest for thin client.
For example the base material used in all of the props uses UV indexing to use different trimsheets on props and walls, if we could instance off that material then we can create props and modular kits that work with epics “texturedata” easily, and since these base materials tend to be pretty hefty on project size if we could just ditch the ones used in our projects and instance off the one epic has for FNBR then that would be a shared material between a ton of UEFN projects that the players wouldnt have to download more than once on thin client.
