As it says currently i believe the only way to change material of a mesh_component is to re create it and remove the old only from the world.
I assume this is just something thats not been done yet but the end goal must be how we do normal bpp meshes currently this is simple and so easy to do/handle. This recreating entities just to change the material is madness.
Also you can only set a material on a created entity so having a prefab with everything setup cannot have any material changed again this is just crazy so instead youve basically gotta create the entire prefab in some respect just to set a material.
Please have this up the list of cosmetic updates as this is a basic thing that would help alot of people trying sg
