We need sale initiated by the seller there is why

On the EU Marketplace, I used to run promotions on my assets, always putting three of them on sale. Some may think that this doesn’t have a big impact on sales, but that’s a mistake.

Since the launch of FAB, my sales have collapsed to the point where I’m wondering whether I’m going to continue selling my assets. For example, this month, in 20 days, I’ve barely made $200, whereas on the EU Marketplace, I was making at least $600 and as much as $1,200.

However, as soon as a promotion is launched on FAB (even if they are rare), sales explode. In just two days of sales, I made half my sales for the month!

The problem is that the majority of buyers on FAB and Marketplace are students or beginners. It’s quite rare for experienced developers to buy on these platforms, except for truly exceptional assets. And these new users often have limited budgets: they’re reluctant to spend more than $50 on an asset.

So not allowing sellers to initiate their own promotions is a huge waste of money for everyone - for us, the creators, but also for Epic Games. These budget-minded customers remain out of reach without regular promotions.

+1 to that.

My assets are all 120$ each and most people wait for a sale before buying. I used to alternate them too like you did and that worked well on UEM.

The search is a lot better now, and I think at this point the big problem that slow our sales is the lack of self initiated discount.

I 100% agree with everything you said here, search is in a really good spot right now(February 21st) and it’s been 5 months since personal discounts were a thing. I’m hoping next month epic is able to get the feature released.
