We need a Report option!!

Hi there.

a few Days have passed, since FAB went online.

And right now, nothing has changed in terms of Categories and Tags.

AI Assets still flood the 2D Asset AND UI Section, since Creators do not tag their stuff correctly ( still get shown, even the Hide Filter is set).
Decals and materials are still inside the 2D Asset section, instead of being in the “Decals” and “Materials & Textures”…
Plugins are in Smart Assets and 3D Models… just to name some problems with Categories.

it gets worse every day and right now, Epic won’t get this handled by themselves.

PLEASE, give us an option to Report wrong tagging to either the support or the creator (just cause many don’t know the AI tags exist).
And a Way to report assets being in the wrong Categories. “Smart Assets”, which seem to be the “Blueprints” Section of FAB, is littered with Code Plugins, Components and stuff, that clearly belong to “Game Systems” or “Tools & Plugins”, but not “Smart Assets”.

If this goes on, even after migrating Artstation, FAB is doomed to fail cause of AI flooding and a Mess of wrong categorized Products.

So again:

  • A Way to report missing Tags to either support, creator or both
  • A Way to report a product being in the wrong Category to either support, creator or both

Currently, FAB is inundated with copyright-infringing content. The reporting process is neither accessible nor efficient, placing the burden solely on rights holders to detect and file claims. If a rights holder is unaware of any infringement, the asset is deemed valid and can continue to be sold on FAB — as it currently is…?.
This is absolutely fatal, especially for newcomers in the scene, not knowing about the terms and conditions of those assets.

To address this, we need a more proactive system that ensures a transparent and accessible reporting mechanism, empowers users to flag potential violations, and mitigates reliance on rights holders being actively involved to catch every infringement and make them popup to be moderated by epic.

  • A Way to report stolen/copied content of copyrighted stuff to the support more easier.

Well, I filed at least 2 TOS reports on that kind of stuff. Last I checked, one came back as “doesn’t violates TOS,” but this might be an placeholder

Well, in my opinion, the “smart asset” category doesn’t mean anything. It may be the root of this problem. When creating a database category, you must choose meaningful names.

A smart asset can be literally anything.
