About the Game – Heptic Arena
Heptic Arena is a PvPvE third-person shooter set in a stylized intergalactic world. It’s a pay-to-play multiplayer game for PC (with potential console support), built in Unreal Engine by our Malta-based team.
The game features a bold, hand-painted aesthetic with bright colors and expressive shapes—giving our artists creative freedom while delivering a vibrant, unique visual experience.

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain core gameplay systems using Unreal Engine
• Collaborate cross-functionally with artists, designers, and fellow engineers to create polished, immersive game features
• Build robust multiplayer experiences using Unreal’s networking framework
• Leverage and optimize the Gameplay Ability System (GAS) to bring spell-based mechanics to life
• Contribute to game architecture, ensuring scalable, high-performance code
• Debug, profile, and optimize systems for peak performance across platforms
Qualifications:
• 4+ years of gameplay programming experience
• Proficient in C++ and Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of Unreal’s multiplayer framework and replication systems
• Proven experience with Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
• Shipped at least one premium multiplayer title
• Experience working on spell-based games—ideally shooters
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and remote collaboration skills
Bonus Points:
• Gameplay performance optimization and profiling
• Familiarity with AI behavior trees, decision-making systems
• Understanding of how animations integrate with gameplay logic
• Cross-platform development experience
• Deep passion for gaming and innovation
