Wav Audio in Sequencer restarts regardless of playhead position - [UE5]

When I add a .wav to my sequencer it plays the audio from the beginning, no matter where I start the play head.
If I scrub to the middle of the clip, the audio starts from the beginning. If i trim the audio, it plays the audio from the beginning - everytime and no matter from where I play it, it always starts from the beginning. I see the audio curves, but they don’t matter. I can pause/play in the middle of the sequence, the audio will start the clip from the beginning and the playhead moves on in the middle of the sequence.
There is no way I can sync it to the animation.

Anybody got an idea what I am doing wrong?

You will need to set you audio to a codec that supports audio seeking.

In the settings for the Wave file, you can change the compression type

I’m on 5.0.3 and this does NOT solve the issue. I still cannot scrub a WAV file, even when its marked as PCM OR Bink.

for them it DOES solve the issue - it was specific to the play head position and where it scrubbed from. Your issue is different, in that you cannot scrub at all, there is a separate thread on that i believe, but no resolution
