WaterBodyOcean

LEFT:
in the above image, BAD, is the result of the produced (packaged game)

RIGHT:
the GOOD, is the what is happening in the editor (which is doing what id expect)

the problem is i cant figure out what is causing the problem.
i’ve re-created the waterbody ocean (and disabled affect landscape)
which solves it in the editor.

I’ve even done the “cooking” - though i still dont know what the advantages of cooking stuff is, if anyone could in short say what it does? lol

Big problem is that the ocean looks “ok” for what i need, but the problem is that there are strange “cut outs” around the peaks of the terrain.

i’ve been flicking around so many options i’ve lost track of what things have been set to get it to look like this
(Also Fluid Flux… "$300+ " Ouch :frowning: would love that but for what i need it doesnt warrent the price tag

Any advise would be most helpful thank you

Had a similar issue recently, enabling UseFixedWaterDepth in the Water Material fixed it for me.
This was in editor though, haven’t tested it in a build.

THANK YOU,
this SEEMS to be the fix for it.
Not only that, it ALSO fixed something else i was ABOUT to ask!
there waves are working properly too
with that SINGLE tick box!!

HOURS spent trying to fix this one, and since it says “FIXED HEIGHT” it always meant to me, DONT move the height of the waves! lol
