Water Simulation Blueprint

- Overview -

I always found there wasn’t an easy solution to add simple water displacement and refraction to my water materials, so I set out to come up with a simple and efficient method to add these effects to already made water materials.

My method was to draw the needed patterns to a texture that is then used inside a function which is then applied to a water material to displace the water.

- Future Additions -

  • Networking
  • Easy way for other items to displace water, which can be scaled on mass.
  • More patterns to allow more flexibility.
