So I was just creating my first landscape on a new level. Wanted to experiment with the Water plugin.
- Saved All in Project
- Activated Water Plugin
- Click restart.
Upon restart my first person blueprint was replaced by an out of date file I believe is from the autosave folder.
All the answers on the internet just say Version Control, so now I’m version controlling my projects I am learning in. Wish all those YouTube tutorials creators were using Version Control.
I know the water plugin is experimental but it really shouldn’t be replacing blueprints from autosave.
But know at least you know how I learned about version control as it seem necessary even for those just learning and starting out in unreal engine.
Once the Helix Core was setup its easy to keep incremental revisions in case something like this happens again.
