Water Plugin, need advice (help pl).

Good day everyone, I have a question about the water plugin, I’m using version 5.1 and trying to draw a mountain river with the splines of this plugin, as a result I encountered artifacts and bugs that I can’t defeat for a whole week.

  1. splines attached to the landscape from the landmass, they do not reach the edge of their positions and giant gaps are visible between the river spline and the landscape

  2. and this is the worst part, the river spline mesh gets out of position and sticks right out of the landscape and even when you try to remove it by increasing the height of the landscape, it attaches to it and rises with it >_<

  3. It’s an endless ocean from the edges of the water zone, although I’m just adding rivers! How can it be removed from the scene altogether? (With the creation of many water zones, these watery oceans are everywhere, I’m already drowning in them!)

  4. When the water zone is enlarged for the entire landscape (this is necessary in order to correctly connect the splines of the rivers into one lake in the middle of the map), the artifacts become super wild.

Landscape
4033x4033 63x63 2x2 32x32 (1024 components) with world grid 2

I would really like to use this tool as it will be supported with each new version and developed, is it possible that someone has encountered similar problems and can help me with advice?

Having similar problems. Since I created the landscape with Gaea height maps, I already have the deformation for the river, yet I couldn’t find a way to use a spline that attaches to the landscape mesh (like in landscape splines) and as a result, having the same problems with you. Even though both splines are over the ground, river just cuts off for some reason. And, all the examples of water plugin rivers are on flat surface; so I am not even sure if it is possible to make a downstream river with the plugin.

Hi, I have the same issue with a terrain imported from Gaea. I’m trying to play with options and I think i found a workaround for the spline. But I loose the underwater post effect and i’m not sure if other stuff are still working ok (need testing).

Basically on the water zone I dropped to 0 the zone extent. In this way it look like it stop to check the terrain when it need to draw the spline.
I also had to enable the water body static mesh to have the water visible.

If someone know how to get the volume working with this configuration, maybe we’re close to a solution?
