Please update the water plane for unreal engine 4.14 i need this

Hey zVitor, you may want to check out the Learn Tab on the Epic Game’s launcher. If you go to that and scroll to the Engine Feature Samples, you will find a project with pre-made water planes. You can simply import those into your other projects as you need.

I believe zVitor is talking about this project not being updated to 4.14
Last supported version is 4.13 at the moment

I see now, I’ve pinged the appropriate teams.

Even if the project is not updated to the latest 4.14 you can still enable the “Select Project to Add Asset to” window.

  • Use the button at the top and select “Show all projects”. Then you’ll see 4.14 versions of your project and whatever else listed here.
  • Select the 4.14 project you want to install the “Water Planes” project to.
  • You’ll get a warning at the bottom that “Asset not compatible with version 4.14, please select closest alternative version”
  • Use the drop down next to “Select Version:” and choose 4.13.

What this will now do is add the 4.13 version of Water Planes to your 4.14 project.

Hopefully we’ll get it resolved and get a 4.14 version up soon, but in the mean time this should be a good workaround to add that content to your project. There shouldn’t be anything in this particular project that would break between 4.13 and 4.14. At least not that I’ve run into when I’ve used it recently. :slight_smile:
