I imported a level with a water body from one 5.2 project into a fresh, empty project. I’m sure the water worked initially, but now when I press play or simulate, the waves stop moving. They work fine in the editor otherwise. Any ideas why it might be doing this?
I did at one point have to delete the directional light and height fog and replace them with fresh versions, and I vaguely remember a message saying one of those was linked to the water body, but unsure if this would make a difference, as the waves work fine until you press play.
Hi, I had the same problem.
I think the problem was that the Water Body related files were duplicated.
I verified the project to solve another problem, and it seems that the Water Body related files were duplicated during the process. That’s why the Water Body didn’t work properly.
Check if there are multiple Water Body related files in the project.
Thanks for that. There were, and I deleted them, but hasn’t unfortunately helped. I have a feeling I may need to delete the lake and put it back in again. Have had other strange things happen with this project where deleting and replacing seems to solve the problem, this might be one of those things.
