I installed 5.7 from scratch, opened my project as normal, opened FAB options and changed the directory cache and notice fab was lagging badly. I looked at the task manager and noticed my D drive was heavily being used, waited a while until it stopped, UE5.7 crashed.
I tried starting up UE5.7 again but wouldn’t work, I looked at my D drive and found pretty much everything was erased, my UE5 project is gone, everything on that drive is gone except about 3Gb of UE5.7. It seems changing FAB directory settings wiped my drive, so just as a warning to anyone else, BEWARE.
