Hello,
I’ve encountered an odd issue with my materials after upgrading from Unreal Engine 5.5.3 to 5.5.4. The problem appears in specific materials under certain circumstances. However, I can’t be entirely sure if the upgrade itself is causing this bug, as there was a several-day gap between the upgrade and the first occurrence of the issue. I won’t delve into that right now, but I decided to focus on addressing all the warnings that appear during the build process, as the problem only occurs in the built version of the game, regardless of the build configuration (e.g., development, shipping, etc.)."
The most recent warning I’ve been seeing is:
Warning: Failed to set completion port for job object “UE.ShaderCompilerWorker.JobGroup”: The parameter is incorrect.
I suspect this warning has been present for a while, possibly since earlier versions of the engine (around 5.0), but I’m not certain exactly when it started, and that’s not the most important point right now.
What I do know is that this warning appears on any new project created with the fresh 5.5.4 engine, and I’ve tested it on two different computers. The warning persists on both machines.
I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. Is this a common bug, or am I missing something? If not, I would greatly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction to resolve it. Even if you can confirm whether or not you’re seeing this warning on your end, that would be helpful.
At this point, I believe this warning could potentially be related to the unexpected issues I’m facing with broken materials. I’ve spent around four days trying to find a solution, but so far, I’ve only found a workaround that I still need to test.
Thank you for your time and any insight you can provide!
