Warning! Disturbing images: "exploded" hands after retargeting

Yeah, so this is happening. The source skeleton is a Mixamo skeleton, the target is Metahuman. Bone mapping checks out. Metacarpals and Twist bones have all been removed from the Metahuman IK Rig, and are not part of the mapping. Similarly, no IK Goals are present. A custom T-Pose matches arms, hand and finger positions almost perfectly.

Legs all check out, but the arms are warped and the fingers, well, you can see that they just become massive and warped and… ugh.

Anything obvious I’m missing?

Mixamo to UE5 you can just retarget the Animations you dont have to do the bone chaining.
Inside the BPs you have Manny and Quinns Rigs just go to the AnimationBP
Right Click and Retarget Animation Assets, Duplicate Animations
