Hello, I would like to show you my game, which I have been creating for almost 6 months. Walter Adventure - is a PixelArt 2D style game with adventure game elements and expansion of your character.
This is my first contact with the Unreal engine and programming
The game in its mechanics is quite simple, we are born on a map, where our goal is to go to the next level, on each level there are all sorts of traps, obstacles and opponents to make it difficult for us, so that we do not complete the level.
The opponents are of various types, from flying ones lurking under ceilings, to regular walkers or even ghosts disappearing and appearing in another place.
Each opponent can be defeated in a similar way, simply by jumping on their heads.
The game also features upgrades, passive and active skils to make the game easier for us. Each item in the game costs a corresponding amount of gems, which can be found on each map.
We can choose ourselves from 3 main skins, such as Fireball, Dash or Shield, depending on our game mode.
As well as choose a new skin with unique skills, each time we unlock a skin we can choose a second skill that works the whole time we wear it.
And of course you can upgrade the character itself, currently you can raise the limit of lives from 2 available at the beginning of the game to a maximum of 10, additional lives are hidden on the map, it is worth mentioning that there is a skin in the game that can add +1 life to us for each completed level and this can exceed the maximum level limit
I’m also attaching a video that shows how it all works.
I bought the characters and sounds somewhere on the internet and then glued it together for myself slowly until the current effect.
