Inspiration
Inspired by 90s adventure game classics like The Journeyman Project, I wanted to blend that old-school charm with modern technology. I introduced an Augmented Reality hint system using QR codes to guide players and add a fresh dynamic to the game.

Development
I designed the game’s assets in Unreal Engine and then integrated them into a WebXR model viewer framework. This setup allowed me to efficiently create a game that bridges the gap between past and present, even as a one-person team.

Reflection
This project was a personal endeavor, mixing my nostalgia for classic games with the excitement of new technology. Though the game is brief, the process of creating it was deeply satisfying. Already into the next project.

Thank you!

Hi there @Sevenedge,

Hope you’re well and having a great week so far

Just from taking a few glances at the images you’ve linked here, its obvious the world design is so thoughtfully done. The environments seem both immersive and full of terrific storytelling elements. Do you happen to have a trailer with any gameplay?

Also, welcome to the Unreal Engine forums! Always nice to see a new face.

Sure, here’s the reveal trailer and the gameplay trailer, It’s been picked up by IGN and Gametrailers so that was quite nice to see…

Oh wow, that’s so genuinely exciting! Huge congrats on that  Glad you took the time to share it here too. Out of curiosity, what part of developing this project was your favorite? All the mention of nostalgia and classic styled games made me curious

Hello, apologies for the delayed response. The most enjoyable aspect of a project like this, at least for me, is approaching the final stages—immersing in pure worldbuilding and adding atmospheric sound design. Thank you!
