Hello everyone, here is a little fps created solo on unreal
Greetings, @ch.rs.st; I hope you’re doing well! “Vs.Dev” looks quite intriguing and seems like a unique take on the FPS zombie shooter genre! Is the game’s Steam page available so we can add it to our wish list?
No not yet, I got a lot of criticism on this trailer, I have to think a little before posting.
Yes the style is different from other games, I need to figure out how to explain it to the players.
No worries, I understand entirely! Hopefully, all of the criticism received was constructive. I’m looking forward to further updates on Vs.Dev.
Hi there @ch.rs.st,
Hope you’re well and having a spectacular week so far
I’m not sure what criticism you could have received - this looks genuinely fun From the puzzle elements to the combat… it’s all incredibly charming. Beyond that, it manages to look like a truly unique game experience. I hope that steam page that @Zezkaii mentioned happens soon!
Happy developing!
“I’m not sure what criticism you could have received”
“all of the criticism received was constructive.”
This game has absolutely nothing realistic or logical, people have trouble with that nowadays.
I will continue to do what I love
Yes, the testers loved it, that’s a good sign. Normally it arrives in January on Steam for a release in March.
The other game mode (survival horror) will arrive later. I wouldn’t have time to finish it.
A difficult decision, I understand! When exploring creative freedom, it’s impossible to please everyone. I’m sure if you keep doing what you love, it’ll all work out.

It arrives in January; that’s fantastic news; thanks for clarifying and the update! I greatly appreciate it. If you don’t mind me asking, how long have you been developing Vs.Dev?
" it’s impossible to please everyone"
Yes, absolutely, especially when you’re doing something different.
" how long have you been developing Vs.Dev? "
For progressive fps mode, a year at 70 hours a week.
I’ve been using the unreal engine since 2014 (I’ve given up, taken up, given up…), so I have a good logic for saving time.
I knew from the start what I had to sacrifice and what I had to do (optimization, animation, audio, script )…
It remains the most difficult thing I’ve done in my life.
WOW! Maintaining a consistent development schedule of 70 hours per week for a year is remarkable and definitely not easy, considering you have other things going on! I commend you for your determination and commitment to sustain such a rigorous routine!
P.S. It was definitely worth being zombie food for the awesome screenshot!
Finally, on steam, on its own, it’s a real pain to do. !
This is fantastic news! Although it may get challenging at times, you are making progress, which is great. I’ve added Versus Dev to my wishlist; keep pushing forward!
Hi.
I released a demo for feedback, but it’s still a little game, I’m on my own.
Wishlisted! I’m a sucker for this genre. I hope this gets the attention it deserves, it looks like a blast. I’d love to see the kind of roadmap you anticipate for this game. Sharing that with the community could grow a lot of attention for yourself - even seeing the potential for coop on that roadmap would make me beyond excited. Regardless, fantastic job! Looking forward to 1.0.
Thank you very much, I’ve upgraded the game to 1.5 (demo), it’s much better now.
For the roadmap, I don’t know yet, the game is almost finished, I’m waiting to see if it will be profitable with the test demo.
