Hello everyone,
I’m the project lead and one of the programmers in this project that we called ParamedicsVR.
This project has been under development at the Humber College, Toronto/Canada.
A situation that happens very often is that paramedics suffer of post traumatic stress after going to his first accident scene. A lot is spent in trying to heal from that trauma.
This project was idealized with the goal to put the paramedics under “stress” in a controlled VR environment, so they can practice everything they’re just learning in school. Thus, they can remember the actual training and different situations that they’ve been through.
We’re using the oculus rift as our VR hardware. Plus, we’re using 12 OptiTrack cameras for room and objects tracking.
