Hello, and sorry in advance for my english.
I’m a 3d student, and I have a work to do about VR in unreal, where I have to create a VR immersive experience in real time.
So I have an HTC Vive Cosmos (so it’s VR for PC, meaning that Lumen and Nanite are avaible on 5.1), but it’s driving me crazy because of the low FPS (20 or less) of my scene when I try to play in VR to try this out.
I followed a lot of tutorials which talk about project optimization for VR, but I didnt find anything which go deep.
Is it even possible to do a project where we use Lumen and Nanite with VR as 30fps+ and with somes elements in this scene ?
I have 3070 ti, Ryzen 7 3700x, 32go RAM, 2 screens and HTC Vive cosmos
My 3070ti reach 100% of performance instantly when i play as VR, and UE crashes a lot too when i play VR also.
Also I wonder if it’s more optimized to do it with only 1 screen and VR headset ?
Here is a test scene where i lag even in the viewport
Here are the usage of my GPU when i start JUST MOVING the view in the viewport (not even playing VR)
I hope someone gonna saves me,
Thank you
