Hmmm… It shouldn’t do that. I’ll need to check. I’m just in a month long holiday + work trip overseas. Will see if I can squeeze some time to have a look otherwise might be not until endo of this month.
In the meantime, try changing the speed if the camera location isn’t the same as its spawn location and see if that helps as a temporary workaround? Re
The camera and pawn will have different locations in the world as the player moves around in room scale. Pawn location only gets updated after a move is initiated which I’m guessing could be causing the issue.
Have a funky error when using the enable 360movement node - hooked it up to the thumb left like shown in the demo. Basically works fine, except when I go off the edge of something - then I very slowly float down to the ground. I increased the gravity to 3 and it didnt change. I increased the gravity to 10 and I fell through the landscape mesh. I’m not using a navmesh because the level is quite large and I dont otherwise need it. I’m using V3 with 4.20.3, just downloaded from the store today. I followed the tutorial “uneven terrain” to create the pawn and its movement. Thoughts?

The project is a few GB due to the landscape size (2kx2k). Not sure if that has anything to do with it. However, I did download the demo project from github and ran map 8 (RunebergVRPlugin/Content/Maps at 4.20 · 1runeberg/RunebergVRPlugin · GitHub) and out of the box using HTC controllers I just walk through the hills, so that’s not working at all.

Thanks for the info… the video helped quite a bit (nice scene btw!)… I think I know what you’re referring to, it’s an experimental feature in my plugin and havent really updated that bit, so may need to do some work on it… there’s an easy solution I can patch in, but let me get back to you after the weekend (still mulling over joining the GameJam or catching up with Spellbreak )
There’s a for loop that is seeking the terrain in that VR Actor class; however this movement is also broken in a static mesh - stairs dont work for example. In my game the player is starting on a dock and will need to go into the house to grab some guns. I even put a transparent ramp on the stairs, but it just blocks in a funny way. Also I can run through walls sometimes.
Gave this a go this morning and the demo level seem to be ok. which version of the Engine are you running on? also, for your terrain, are you using it for the collision checks? - This won’t be ideal.
As for the water, I used some from vr projects but they are mostly custom and proprietary for the company i worked for. I’ve had success though for smaller projects with using the free ones from Soul Cave and modifying them to suit (performance & look) - in a pinch, they’re a pretty good starter
I am starting to learn Unreal and try to learn the basics. I have an Oculus Quest and loaded this great Plugin. I tried to get the Gesture System to work, but it writes no Data in the Gesture Database. Is it possible, that there are some problems with the Oculus Quest or my project?

My Project Settings are changed for the Quest (Platforms - Android - APK Packaging). I launch the game directly to the Quest (see Screenshot). I can’t use the VR Preview because Oculus Link is not working for me (endless 3 Dots Loading Screen).
When I paint gestures during the game, they get green but don’t get saved in the Database. I also tried the “Demo Content 6_Gestures” from the Plugin. It says “New Gesture Recorded” but when i try to paint it, it just crashes. And it also saves no new Gestures in the Database. But at least I can use the Gestures stored in the “DA_GesturesDB_Demo”.
