please for the love of my own sanity guys why is this STILL an issue no matter what engine version I’m using.
UE 5.6.1 - Forward Shading - Baked Lighting - Cast dynamic shadows: false (except for movable sky light/ sun)
The left lens renders perfectly fine, zero issues. Right lens no matter the project is always like this.
I’m so tired of dealing with this and everytime the solution is to turn off instance stereo or something. Doesn’t always work it’s kind of random. But in doing that I kill my performance. It just shouldn’t do this full-stop. I shouldn’t have to disable instance stereo, that is an optimisation to save performance but why wasn’t this issue accounted for?
Has anyone got a solution to this please? I’ve been dealing with this with every project for years now.
UPDATE:
I’m beginning to think it’s something to do with light scenarios and level streaming.
I packaged the game and set the default map to this one, rather than the master level which goes through: Main menu > lvl1 > abbeylevel
When I loaded into this abbey level the lighting and lightmaps were perfect.
When I repackaged and used the master level setup and stream loaded into the abbey level, the lighting was all dark, the sky was extremely dark and the lightmap was glued to my right lens like in the video above.
