VR improvements for all or mostly just Meta?

I keep hearing peple rave about how every release after 5.0 VR performance is just getting better and better but any time I see a video, guide, article, or anything it is always someone in a Quest or whatever Meta setup. A lot of the settings seem specific or related to Meta. A lot of the setting recommendations seem to be specific to android, Meta, or other standalone headsets. Almost no mention of desktop powered headsets, settings or optimizations specific to them, etc.
I will admit I am pretty beginner level in Unreal and also acknowledge that all my effort in VR development has been trying to get photorealistic archvis scenes to look as good as possible in VR which I have to admit hasn’t been going great.
I have a Vive Cosmos and Vive Pro 2. I chose Vive because 1. Meta and their advertising and profiting off me being their business model annoys and terrifies me, but also 2. because Vive/Steam, style designs seemed much more the closer to professional hardware and better path for someone doing the kind of work I do.
But it seems like all the focus is on Meta and or Android headsets.

Are these performance gains hitting all VR and I’m just not noticing because of either my experience and or specifically what I am trying to do? Or is most effort and are most gains being focused on Meta/Android?

Also I do have a thread trying to optimize archvis for Vive VR in the archvis section if anyone has any suggestions there.
