Hi All, I am setting up a room scale VR game. How do I get the mesh to match the movements of the HMD? My problem is if I start roaming around my room the camera leaves the VR body behind. I need it so that if I take a step forward the mesh moves along with me. Please see my pics below for my settings. Thanks for any advice in advance. It always seems that once I take a step forward in this program I get sent back two steps haha.
The VR template moves the VROrigin component while leaving the root behind when teleporting, while the TPS character needs root(Capsule) movement. You should rewrite the teleportation code so that it moves the capsule, but that introduces an extra set of problems (Like moving in the real world behavior). Cheapest solution is to omit the mesh of character by simply setting it invisible and to add a new mesh that is attached to VR Origin. Mind that real world movement still wont bring the character model with you.
