Hi! I’ve been searching, and I think I’m not the only one with this problem… Since September, I’ve been having issues with meta tracking and metaxr in my 5.5 project. Even when I compile, the mesh of my hands looks good, but they’re broken or frozen, and the rigging isn’t handled well. I don’t know who to ask anymore because no one seems to have a solution, so if anyone seeing this could contact me to find a solution, I’d really appreciate it!
Which of the Meta plugins do you use for finger tracking and on which skeleton?
hey I dont know which one does the finger tracking but i use MetaXR, Meta Interaction SDK and the openXR hand tracking one is enabled aswell.
So it’s the interaction SDK According to your previous post, this seems to have worked in Unreal versions prior to 5.5 ?? Still don’t know if you use the default Meta hand skeleton or a custom one, but here is my experience with custom hand skeletons/meshes.
yeah i use the meta sdk hands and since septembre idk what happened that it doesnt work anymore. So if i read well you replaced the sdk hands to the unreal ones and renamed some bones??
The interaction SDK expects the exact bone names like described in this guide. In addition you may need to adjust the orientation of the finger joints depending on your skeleton, as the ISDK uses OpenXR standards.
