PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Sensorium Galaxy is a Social VR platform created for the next generation of entertainment experiences spanning a variety of virtual worlds.

We offer participation in the development of a large-scale project and the acquisition of a unique expertise of top developers on a global scale.

The first world, “Prism” is the destination for immersive electronic music experiences in the metaverse. It is the stage for some of the biggest DJs in the world: David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Carl ■■■, and many others. Each artist goes through photogrammetry scanning and motion capture. The resulting photorealistic avatars with life-like movements become the centerpieces in the production of out-of-this-world shows powered by Unreal Engine 4 with real-time raytracing (NvRTX) rendering in VR.

Avatars are key to the social experience of Sensorium Galaxy. Besides friends and like-minded people from all over the world, users get to meet Virtual Beings – AI-controlled characters with individual traits that can hold human-like generative conversations on any topic and become virtual companions in all their travels across Sensorium Galaxy.

Sensorium Galaxy is currently in a closed beta test on PC VR platform and will soon be entering PC Desktop (incl. cross-play functionality) testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development using C++.
  • Implementation of gameplay features and VR mechanics.
  • Improvement of locomotion, interaction and other core VR features.
  • Prototyping new VR mechanics (with Blueprints or C++).
  • Co-development of Virtual Beings interactions and “Conversation with AI” mode.
  • Adapting VR mechanics to better suit various VR HMDs and controllers.
  • Configuring network replication for the developed features and mechanics.
  • Implementation of helpers and tutorials.
  • Bugfixing, stabilization and improvement of user experience.
  • Documentation of important information in Confluence or its equivalent.

SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of C++ development experience .
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science.
  • 2+ years of Unreal Engine development experience.
  • Participation in commercial releases of VR projects (high budget AAA projects are a plus).
  • Experience with VR development in Unreal Engine.
  • Editor extensions experience (Editor Utilities, Plugins).
  • Understanding of Unreal Engine 4 replication.
  • ISO C++14.
  • Passion for Game Design / VR Interactivity exploration.
  • MMO / Online game development experience.
  • Understanding of architectural patterns.
  • Understanding of VR replication subtleties.
  • Crossplatform development experience.

LANGUAGES:

English: B2 (Upper Intermediate) / C1 (Advanced) is a plus.

Exceptions can be made for specialists with substantial professional experience.
