Greetings @Sharkster-NXR !

Please allow me to remark upon how this documentary series revolutionizes the way we view history! There are many interesting documentaries that take a serious dive into the last days of the Third Reich. However, this is the first immersive VR documentary series that I have personally ever heard of.

Experiences such as this is akin to walking through a museum, but more interactive. Your studio has done an outstanding job in recreating the setting - where everything in current antiquity looks brand new. Thank you for sharing this preview with us, and for taking a candid and responsible approach to this. They say that history is written by the victors, but this would leave room for embellishment or inflated perspectives. It is very important that we preserve history as it is - a collection of facts and valid experiences.

Was Führerbunker and the other VR experiences on the Time & History site your studio’s idea, or had you been commissioned by others to develop these experiences? Which one would you recommend to watch first? Which one stirred up the most emotions from viewers?

Hi there and thank you for your kind words. Some background info about Führerbunker VR (FBVR): The documentary experience was created in co-operation with renowned historians (some were also historic advisors on the movie “The Downfall”) and have published many books about the Third Reich and the last days in the bunker.

We are a German team and the development was in part funded by the federal states of Bremen and Lower Saxony. Some footage of the documentary is used in the TV documentary “The Fall of Adolf Hitler” (which is not yet published). So, you could say that part of the work was commissioned.

Please note that only the VR experiences “Füherbunker VR” and “Arctic Meltdown” on Time & History are developed by NORD XR. The other experiences on that site were developed by the devs mentioned in the info boxes (including links to where to get them).

We believe that VR will change the way we learn about history in the future. This time might not be here already, but it will become a reality sooner or later.
